Ministry

Articles that were written in regards to the service in the Lord’s church.

Aggos, A Vessel Filled With Good Things

Aggos, is a Greek term meaning “vessel or container”. Recently, a group of brothers has dedicated many hours in giving us what they define as “a private, curated online platform for the global church of Christ”. In this short article we will see why, without a doubt, it is a vessel filled with good things.

Preacher, Do Not Belittle Your Brethren

One of the saddest moments in the short life as an evangelist of this writer happened a couple of months ago, when a fellow worker told me “things does not work here in the way you are trying, you are very new in this work, believe me, it does not work that way, you will get tired very soon”.

Catching Flies with Honey

“You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar” simply means that we can win more people to our side by being gentle than by being hostile. Our mission is not only to win them to our side, but to God’s side. We are commanded to be soul winners (Matthew 28:18-20).

Looking for Laborers

Jesus said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:37-38). Dear reader, the job posting is open, but, you must be in the building. Not a literal building that was constructed by the hands of man, but the spiritual building that Jesus bought with His own blood (Acts 20:28), His church, His body (Ephesians 1:22-23).

Be Strong & Go Forward

Paul was one of the great soldiers of Christ. He left a life that, from the point of view of the Jews, was very good. Today we do not need that Christ appears unto us and blinds us to believe in him. That already happened to Paul and the Bible says so (Acts 22:6-16). The Word of God is the complete source of all that we need to know about life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

Wearing Many Hats

During our short time in our ministry in Panama, this author has been missionary, preacher, and teacher, but at the same time, video editor, graphic designer, writer, event organizer, programmer, web designer, analyst, planner, social media community manager, translator, children entertainer, proofreader, cameraman, photographer, counselor, waiter, janitor, and certainly, I cannot remember others while I write.

Being Diligent To The Lord

Christians cannot be lazy people, Christians cannot just come to Sunday services and spend a couple of hours sitting in the pews and believe that that is just what they needed to do. Christians cannot consider that the Lord’s Supper is the only act of worship required each Sunday. Christians need to get busy in the work, to be diligent to do whatever they can to serve our Lord.

There Are Many Paths

Today, if we do not follow the path of salvation that is provided unto us through the Scriptures, then we will not be able to receive the reward that is waiting for us in heaven (James 1:12; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Revelation 2:10). Let us keep in our mind that we will reap according to what we sow (1 Corinthians 3:8; Galatians 6:7-8; Revelation 22:12).

Preach the … What?

Paul never told Timothy to preach only on the pretty things of life. Neither he told him to do it only on what is wrong in the world. And certainly, he did not tell Timothy to talk about himself. Whosoever preaches, needs to avoid the error of start talking about himself. It is not about us, it is about God!
